Nevada Farm Apprenticeship Program
Job Description:
This program will prepare participants to become farm owner operators in Nevada by providing the knowledge, contacts, and experience necessary for outdoor fruit and vegetable farming at the small farm scale (approximately $25,000 - $350,000 gross farm income)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Age (Years):
Must be at least 18 of age
Education:
Two seasons of farming experience
or
Completed Associates or Bachelor degree from an agricultural education program
or
Demonstrated experience as a gardener with intention to scale up into farming
Additional:
Apprentices will be hosted at Desert Farming Initiative (DFI) in a 1-year position with a 32-hour per week schedule, with flexibility that reflects the seasonal demands of farming
